How will I be charged for services and when do I pay?
Services are charged per visit (with the exception of holidays $5.00 extra per day). Payment is expected at the completion of the service. Payment should be made by cash or check

Will my pets and I meet the pet sitter before the service begins?
Definitely. The pet sitter will only accept an assignment by meeting the household members first; in order to discuss the service, fees and to gain the knowledge of what the pet is accustomed to. Also, to discuss which veterinarian is used in case of an emergency.

Will people I don't know come to my home?
There is always the possibility that an independent contractor who helps From The Heart will be visiting your home. If so, that will be discussed at the time of our initial interview. This is also a "safety catch" in the event that if the pet sitter becomes ill, has a personal emergency, etc. someone will always be available to be with your pet. Any and all pet sitters will be bonded/insured. References are always a must.

Do you have pets of your own?
I have had pets since I was just a teenager, and through the years have adopted all my pets from
shelters. Currently, I have 2 dogs; Max, a golden retriever, Sandi, an Aussie Shepherd mix,  and 5 cats. My pets are a very important part of my family.

How long are your visits?
20 to 30 minutes, depending upon what the animal(s) require, i.e., medications, etc.

What does the owner do when arriving home?
We always ask the owners to let us know when they arrive home so we know that they are with their pets. We also hold onto keys until the owner arrives home in the event of an emergency on their end.

Do you keep keys?
Yes, there are several people who allow me to keep their keys so that I can have them for future jobs and
also in the case of an emergency. They are kept in a safe and secure area in my home.

How much notice do you need if a job is being cancelled?

As soon as you know that your plans change would be helpful in the event that there are other jobs that I
need to tend to.

How late would you visit at night
?
I am willing to visit as late as 10:00 PM.
